ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE FOR THE CITRUS COUNTY BIG BASS CHALLENGE ON WITHLACOOCHEE RIVER
Dunnellon, Florida, February 2, 2007 – Entry forms are available for the 3rd Annual Citrus County Big Bass Challenge scheduled on Saturday, April 28, 2007, on the Withlacoochee River at the Dunnellon public boat ramp on the west side of Route 41. Anglers will enjoy a guaranteed payout of more than $12,000 in cash and prizes based on a 100 boat field. Big Bass is guaranteed at $1,000 with 2nd Big Bass at $500. Many businesses are sponsoring additional cash for tournament placement and special awards. Entry fee is $135 per two-man team.
“This catch and release tournament is receiving a great response from both anglers and businesses,” said Matt Beck, Tournament Director. “Last year we had 101 boats participate in Inverness and we look forward to hosting this type of tournament in Dunnellon. We are blessed with great bass fisheries in Florida and are very proud to bring fellow bass anglers, men, women, and kids throughout the area for a day of fun, fellowship, and charitable giving."
The tournament promises some special promotions for both anglers and spectators including a CastingKids competition, food, and a great selection of raffle items. Spectators do not want to miss the suspense and excitement of the weigh-in beginning at 3 p.m. to see the anglers bring in their catches and see who will come out on top in this event winning the big cash and prizes. So mark your calendars for April 28, 2007. Early registration is encouraged with flight times based on order of registration.
The title sponsor for the tournament is Dex Imaging Proceeds to benefit the Key Training Center, a nonprofit organization, to ensure mentally challenged adults and their families have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of services including education, day training, vocational training, residential and community living support.
