Guidelines for Estate Gifts
You can make a significant contribution to the important work of the Key Center Foundation by leaving a gift in your estate. This way, you are making a gift of your assets after you no longer need them.
Beneficiary Designations on Life Insurance and IRAs You may name the Key Center Foundation as a full or partial beneficiary on any life insurance coverage you have, including group term insurance. Even a small percentage of your death benefit may result in a significant gift.
You may also name the Key Center Foundation as a full or partial beneficiary on your IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or other retirement plan savings account. Because the naming of a charitable beneficiary may have tax implications for your other beneficiaries, please call us to discuss your particular situation.
A Gift by Will or Living Trust
An excellent way to leave an estate gift to the Key Center Foundation is by designating a bequest in your will or living trust. Here is the recommended language:
Percent Bequest:
"I give, devise and bequest ______% of my estate to the Key Center Foundation, its successors or assigns, a not-for-profit charitable organization, currently located at 130 Heights Avenue, Inverness, FL, 34452.
Specific Amount Bequest:
"I give, devise and bequeath the sum of written amount dollars ($_______) to the Key Center Foundation, its successors or assigns, a not-for-profit charitable organization, currently located at 130 Heights Avenue, Inverness,
FL, 34452.
Residual Bequest:
"I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my property and estate, both real and personal wherever located, to the Key Center Foundation, its successors or assigns, a not-for-profit charitable organization, currently located at 130 Heights Avenue, Inverness, FL, 34452.
Payable on Death Designations
You may also name the Key Center Foundation as a "payable on death" beneficiary for your bank accounts, your certificates of deposit, and your brokerage accounts.
