BENEFITS
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, to include paid vacation, sick and personal time (full-time employees), paid holidays (full-time employees) and 401k (all employees).
Health Insurance - we offer a comprehensive major medical package through United Healthcare, with an extensive network of physicians in the Citrus County area. We also offer dental, vision, long-term/short-term disability, voluntary/additional life (to include spouse and children). Insurance is available to full time employees (those working 32+ hours per week), with the company contributing a portion of the major medical premiums only. Insurance is available after 90 days probation, or annually at open enrollment.
Leave Time - most full time employees (depending upon their position) accrue vacation, sick and personal time, based on years of service. This time is available for their use after 90 days. Part time employees are also entitled to vacation; however, this is unpaid time. Staff members working as Instructors/Instructor Assistants do not accrue vacation, however, they have four paid weeks each year, taken in conjunction with the county school breaks (spring break, Christmas, etc.)
Holidays - The Key observes seven (7) holidays per year, as follows: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day; substitutions may be made for holidays, depending upon the department a staff member may be working. All full time employees are paid for holidays; part time employees do not receive compensation, but are eligible for holidays. Holidays are effective immediately upon hire, with no waiting period.
401(k) - All employees, full time and part time, are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan, contingent upon working 6 months and 1000 hours. Once an employee has met these criteria, they may enroll in the Hartford 401(k) plan by contacting the Human Resource department for a plan description and enrollment forms. Currently, the Key offers an employer match up to 5%; the match is made monthly, and participants receive itemized statements from the Hartford on a quarterly basis.
Direct Deposit Service - Available to all employees; Key employees are also eligible to open accounts through Suncoast Schools Credit Unions.
