Spooner Cottage The 11-bed, 4,000 square foot, Spooner Cottage was built in 1980 to provide around-the-clock, life-sustaining care to medically fragile, multiply handicapped clients. All Spooner Cottage clients have limited mobility. Most are confined to wheelchairs. Many Spooner Cottage clients require assistance to bathe, toilet, groom, and dress.
Spooner Cottage was made possibly by community donations and was named in honor of the late Josh Spooner, longtime Key center board president.
