Special Events Crew

Special events help to educate the members of the community about the issues involving individuals who have developmental disabilities and mental retardation. Funds raised by such events help provide services beyond basic care for those who are challenged by such disabilities.

Special Event Crew members enjoy working as part of a team to assure the success of the project. Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Ability to take direction and accept responsibility is essential.

Activities:

• Accept assignments from Special Events Chairperson.
• Provide insight and suggestions to committee to enhance event.
• Carry out various responsibilities which vary with the event and may
  include decorating, setting-up, selling, cleaning-up, serving food,
  collecting donated goods, and like activities.
• Perform duties in a timely fashion.
• Keep accurate records.

Requirements:

• A minimum of one event per year
• 4 - 6 month commitment
• Average 2 - 4 hours per week for the length of the commitment
• Extensive background screening
• Orientation and Training
• TB Test
