TV Production Assistant
Generating quality television programs requires organization and diplomacy. The production assistant works with the technical personnel to assure a smooth operation in the production of local television programs.
The Production Assistant is able to work under pressure, is punctual, has well-developed communication skills, good people skills, is able to take direction and has a sense of humor.
Activities:
- Answer phones at station.
- Contact potential guests to schedule an appearance.
- Confirm with already scheduled guests dates and times for appearance
or taping
- Greet guests and makes them feel comfortable.
- Secure information from individuals who are being interviewed.
- Prepare the information on the guests for the host.
- Prepare set for show.
- Relay messages to guests during taping or live shows.
- Prepare and adjusts cameras.
- Operate video cameras during taping.
- May train to do on air appearances and/or voice-overs.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 hours weekly
- Hours are flexible between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm weekdays
- Sense of humor and ability to have fun
- Extensive background screening
- Orientation and Training
